Indore Mayor Pushyamitra Bhargava will proudly represent India at the BRICS+ Association of Cities and Municipalities Working Meeting in Dubai on October 31, 2024, where he will also serve as Co-Chair.
The prestigious forum will bring together city leaders from across the BRICS+ nations to discuss sustainable urban development, strengthen municipal cooperation, and formalize intercity partnerships. Key discussions will include the approval of foundational documents, setting strategic priorities, and fostering twinning agreements between cities.
Speaking ahead of the event, Mayor Bhargava expressed his gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav for entrusting him with this responsibility. He highlighted the opportunity to showcase Indore’s citizen-driven transformation into India’s cleanest city and to share its success story on a global stage.
“This is not just an honour for me, but for the people of Indore. Our city’s journey proves that with vision, innovation, and public participation, world-class urban governance is achievable,” he said
