Elected in 2022 by an overwhelming margin of 1.3 lakh votes, Pushyamitra Bhargav leads Indore Municipal Corporation with vision, integrity, and innovation. Under his leadership:
  • Indore was declared India’s cleanest city for the 7th consecutive year, setting a national benchmark in urban sanitation.
  • Initiated India’s first-ever municipal Green Bond, raising funds for a 60 MW solar plant aimed at generating 175 lakh units/month of renewable power.
  • Launched a record-setting plantation drive with 1.5 lakh saplings planted in a day, and developed 100 urban forests across all 85 wards.
  • Converted city waste to CNG, powering 100+ garbage vehicles and 400+ public buses, benefiting over 2 lakh commuters.
  • Implemented the "Internship with Mayor" program, involving 1300+ students from over 10,000 applicants in governance training across 42 departments.
  • Created Sanjivani Clinics for local health access (17 operational, 77 more planned), serving 15,000+ citizens.
  • Introduced women-centric services like the Pink Bus (with women drivers) and She Lounges for safer public environments.
  • Indore became the first city to integrate Digi Pin(By India Post), with Indore’s own Digital Pata aimed at digitally marking all the existing house holds and bringing all citizen cervices at door step.
  • Organized Mitra Rozgar Mela witnessing 20,000 plus registrations and 3500 plus offers.
  • Established Traffic Mitra (1000+ youth volunteers), Yog Mitra (yoga sheds in 85 wards), and Indore NRI Forum (connecting 200+ NRIs from 40+ countries).
  • Delivered on efficient governance with services like 24-hour death certificates, LED street lighting (76,000 units), and regularization of 120 illegal colonies.

As a Law Professional

Pushyamitra Bhargav is one of the youngest legal experts to have held senior state legal positions:

  • Served as Deputy Advocate General (2015–2018) and later as Additional Advocate General (2020–2022) at the Madhya Pradesh High Court.
  • Led legal literacy campaigns across tribal and rural regions of MP and Northeast India.
  • Represented the state in high-stakes legal matters, including oxygen supply litigation during COVID-19.
  • Advocated for academic reforms through petitions supporting the appointment of academicians as Vice-Chancellors.
  • Initiated a landmark PIL supporting direct student union elections in Madhya Pradesh

RSS & ABVP Ideological Foundation

A committed RSS swayamsevak since childhood, Pushyamitra’s ideological training began early and shaped his public life:
  • Joined Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) in school and rose to become University Council President.
  • As ABVP State Secretary in Guwahati (2005–2007), expanded its reach among Assamese youth.
  • Led initiatives as University Convener and SFD Head (Central India), inspiring students toward nationalism and civic activism.
  • Played a pivotal role in civic awareness drives like Clean Kanha Campaign, Ambedkar Jayanti for sanitation workers, and support events for Pulwama martyrs.

BJYM & Youth Mobilization

  • Served as National Executive Member of Bhartiya Janata Yuva Morcha (BJYM).
  • Led the Rashtriya Ekta Yatra alongside Anurag Thakur, mobilizing youth nationwide.
  • Organized “Lawyers for Modi” campaign in support of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.
